Jaguar XE Facelift First Drive & Performance

Jaguar XE Overview

The new Jaguar XE sports saloon has been officially launched in India at the 2016 Auto Expo. The most attainable offering from the car maker rivals the likes of Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3-Series as well as the Audi A4 in the segment offering the highly appreciated styling coupled with frugal yet powerful engines on board.

The new version of Jaguar’s most affordable offering, the XE saloon was launched in Indian market at the 13th edition of Auto Expo earlier in 2016. With significant changes made to the saloon both on cosmetic and mechanical front, the new XE surpasses its predecessor in terms of performance, looks and fuel efficiency. Apart from the all-new monocoque platform composed of lightweight aluminium, the saloon uses newly developed engine from Jaguar’s Ingenium family of engines, claimed to be fuel-efficient in nature. The saloon is currently available with a petrol engine and the diesel variant is expected to launch shortly. Jaguar XE  On road price starts from 35,83,811/-. Jaguar XE Design

You’d find it hard to ignore the brilliance of Ian Callum’s design, of how he has been able to add classic sportscar proportions (long hood, small cabin, stubby boot) to a 4-seater sedan. The sad bit is that, at least in India, the XE is only offered in very ‘safe’ paint options – the Loire Blue colour you see here is the most exciting one of the five available.Still, the Jaguar XE is a sexy looking car – there’s a sort of tension along the body of the car, to make it look like a cat preparing to pounce. The highlights at the front include the headlamps with the signature ‘J-blade’ DRLs, the flowing hood with the prominent power bulge and the recessed grille with the Red Growler badge.

When looked at from the side, the chrome vents on the front fenders, chrome highlights around the windows and the Red Growler wheel centre caps catch your eye. The 17-inch wheels and the 225/55 section tyres look a bit out of sync with the sporty design, but there is a reason for them being the way they are. More on that later.Move to the rear and the XE seems to have suddenly become a bit ungainly, especially because of the rather large taillamp cluster which clashes with the otherwise lithe design of the car. The F-Type inspired lights, with the unique LED guides do look good at night though. Finishing up the highlights are the leaping Jaguar badge on the bootlid and the twin-pipe exhausts poking out near the bottom of the bumper.

Jaguar XE Cabin

The cabin looks great as well with a smart speedboat like wrap-around dashboard that merges into the doors. The handsome tan leather seats are very supportive and the Jaguar XE Portfolio is loaded with features including power steering adjust and a a nice sounding Meridian audio system. Jaguar’s new InControl infotainment system works off a new 8-inch touchscreen display that features great looking graphics and has a navigation function. Truth be told though, Google maps are way more convenient to use. The downside with the Jaguar XE is its tight cabin. Rear knee room is just about adequate and passengers will rub their knees on the seat if there’s a tall person seated up front. A very large transmission tunnel also makes this a strict four seater unless absolutely necessary to fit a fifth person in. Even the boot isn’t very spacious. In terms of sheer space, the Jaguar XE can’t hold a candle to something like a run of the mill Honda City. The sublime interior matches well with the posh looks. Right from the dual colour scheme to the top-notch quality material used inside to the high-end comfort features, the new XE offers a snug cabin. Although there is enough space inside, but the low placed seats are a bit of a let-down.

Jaguar XE Performance

Jaguar XE is a front-engined, rear-wheel driven sedan! You get that vibe the moment you lower yourself into the car – you are sat low with your legs stretched forward, the steering wheel is chunky, you gaze longingly past the two large analogue meters to see a long hood stretching out in front of you.Thumb the pulsating starter and the XE comes to life with a distant growl, the gear selector rises from the centre console and the digital screen in between the display shows the leaping Jaguar motif. Select ‘Dynamic’ mode (other modes include Normal, Eco and Rain/Ice/ Snow) and the instrument cluster turns red, the throttle becomes sharper, the gearbox preps to hold the revs longer and shift quicker, and the steering firms up a bit.The 2.0-litre, ‘Ingenium’ JLR proprietary engine develops 180PS of maximum power at just below the 4,800rpm redline, while 430Nm of peak torque is delivered from as low as 1,750rpm. Paired to an 8-speed ZF-designed automatic, the XE has the right formula on paper. Driving it like you stole it makes you feel that the formula is working; dial in the fact that the XE is fitted with nice paddle shifters behind the wheel to give you that feeling of being in control.

In spite of using a lot of aluminium, the XE still weighs 1.5 tonnes, and that reflects in our test figures – the XE managed to complete the 0-100kmph run in 8.7 seconds, while the almost 100kg lighter Audi A4 35TDI did the same 0.8 seconds quicker.Where the XE really begins to feel like the 3 Series rival it is meant to be, is when you drive it on the twisties. The chassis feels playful, egging you to push the limits on every corner. Switch off the traction control and the XE will step out, but in a very non-seat-staining way. Confidence is further enhanced thanks to the quick, direct steering. The XE’s dynamics beg you to question if the package would have been even better with larger wheels and fatter and stickier rubber.

Jaguar XE Rideing

Making up for the cramped cabin is the fact that the driver is going to have a big smile on his face. The Jaguar XE has a sharp chassis with a quick and direct electrically assisted steering that actually offers a decent amount of feedback. On a twisting road, the Jaguar XE keeps the driver entertained with good front end grip and a rear that isn’t shy to move around a little on corner exits if you turn off the traction control. There isn’t quite enough power to make it drift at will but if you throw it into a corner aggressively it will willing slide. Understeer is well controlled and only comes up when the pace gets very high. Braking performance is strong and consistent and the pedal has a lovely firm feel.

The Jaguar XE has a taut feeling chassis but the good news is that it is not too stiff for our roads. It feels a little firm but remains supple throughout. Even when it hits a pothole there’s never that thud that makes you cringe with the fear that something may have broken. The fat tyres on those small 17-inch wheels are definitely helping here but if you don’t like the look, Jaguar will sell you an optional 18- or even 19-inch wheels. Ground clearance is decent too and we didn’t have any issues with speedbreaker scraping. Overall, the XE rides quite well and also has excellent noise isolation. View offers on Jaguar Cars from Jaguar dealers in Hyderabad at Autozhop

Jaguar XE Safety

Among the various safety equipment armed in the new XE pedestrian contact sensing, interior door handle with separate locking switch, emergency brake assist, power operated child locks, multiple airbags, passive head restraints, ventilated disc units etc are included. On the outside, XE gets a pair of power-folding ORVMs that can be adjusted electrically. Besides, the ORVMs come with integrated clear lens indicators along with puddle lamps and get heated, electrochromic and memory functions. Rain sensing wipers, heated rear screen, panoramic sunroof with electric blinds are some of the other vital external features. The snug interior gets leather upholstered seats, 10 way adjustable electric front seats, driver’s seat with memory function, multi-function power adjustable steering wheel and fixed rear seat with rear armrest including cup-holders among several others.

Jaguar XE Verdict

The Jaguar XE is a rather excellent car, but only if rear seat comfort is not a priority. It keeps the driver entertained and is otherwise a highly refined and thoroughly luxurious machine. As of now, there’s no diesel engine on offer and the Jaguar XE Portfolio at Rs 55.7 lakh (all prices on-road Mumbai) is quite an expensive proposition. The Jaguar XE Pure on the other hand costs Rs 47.9 lakh, which is also about Rs 70,000 more than a Mercedes-Benz C200. That might sound like a much better deal but aside from the 40 less horses, the Pure also loses out on some features. Instead of a 380W 11-speaker Meridian system it only gets a 80W 6-speaker system and the bi-xenon HID lamps are replaced by a set of halogen headlamps. Even the keyless entry has been dropped. Jaguar would do well to offer a Portfolio version with the 200PS engine. Till then, watch this space to see how the Jaguar XE stands up to its rivals. We’ll have a comparison coming up soon.

Basic Concepts In Evaluation Procedures In Education

Check for Educational Evaluations in US at UT Evaluators

Assessment refers to the wide variety of methods that educators use to evaluate, measure, and document the academic readiness, learning progress, and skill acquisition of students from preschool through college and adulthood.

ASSESSMENT is the process of gathering information about student performance; commonly used for the word measurement. Assessment focuses on learning, teaching and outcomes. It provides information for improving learning and teaching. Assessment is an interactive process between students and faculty that informs faculty how well their students are learning what they are teaching. The information is used by faculty to make changes in the learning environment, and is shared with students to assist them in improving their learning and study habits. This information is learner-centered, course based, frequently anonymous, and not graded.

EVALUATION: A process in which the teacher uses information derived from many sources to arrive at a value judgment. Evaluation might be based on measurement data but also might be based on other types of data such as questionnaires, direct observation, written or oral performance, ratings or interview. For Educational Evaluations in US visit here

Dimension of Difference Assessment Evaluation Content: timing, primary purpose Formative: ongoing, to improve learning Summative: final, to gauge quality Orientation: focus of Measurement Process-oriented: how learning is going Product-oriented: what’s been learned Findings: uses thereof Diagnostic: identify areas for improvement Judgmental: arrive at an overall grade/score KEY DIFFERENCES

MEASUREMENT is the process used to obtain data concerning student learning. For instance, a paper-and- pencil test is used to measure the achievement of a student, but other types of data collection can be used such as performance-based measures.

TESTS are tools that effectively enhance the educational process; represent an attempt to provide objective data that can be used with subjective impressions to make better, reliable decisions.

Student Evaluation is necessary to help teachers determine the degree to which educational objectives have been achieved and to help teachers know their students as individuals.

Classroom Issues, anyone? Exams only test memory so coursework is much more valuable and needed to demonstrate learning. Giving assessed work back helps keep track of student learning and provide holistic view of performance. Getting students to reflect on the feedback and explain what actions may be taken can help close the feedback loop and promote learning

Maruti Suzuki Celerio Performance & Price

Maruti Celerio Overview

The Celerio might be just another hatchback from the Maruti portfolio for many. However, for the Indo-Japanese auto giant, the hatch has been a potent tool to test uncharted territories. The Celerio was hand picked to feature two crucial firsts for Maruti. The Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) and Maruti’s first indigenously developed diesel motor, the DDiS 125; both first featured on the Celerio before making its way to other hatchbacks. What does the Celerio bring to the table? Let’s find out. Maruti Celerio  price range in India is between 4,23,623/- to 5,42,220/ check for detail pricing of Maruti Celerio in Carzprice

Maruti Celerio Design

The Maruti Celerio looks similar to its petrol counterpart. The badgingg on the fender and boot mark the difference. The styling of the Celerio is mix of various elements. It has a pleasing front end with twin chrome horizontal slats. Large headlamps also add to the look. The fog lamps have chrome surrounds and the fascia looks appealing. this makes it look attractive. It is a somewhat tall boy design which is apparent when viewed from the side. The door handles are grab type ones and the crisp line adds on to the styling. The wheel well size is perfect and it doesn’t look small like the Wagon R, neither is it too big. The rear of the Maruti Celerio Diesel is nothing to talk about, but is decent with simple looking tail lamps.

Maruti Celerio Cabin

Step inside the cabin and a familiar Maruti layout welcomes you. The dual tone beige and black combination is pleasant and dull silver accents strewn across the centre console look nice and classy. The build quality of interiors has definitely gone up compared to older Marutis. However, compared to its immediate rivals such as the Tiago or the Grand i10, the quality does seem a notch lower. We believe the Celerio scores very high in terms of ergonomics; everything falls to hand very easily and is in just the right spot.

The driver’s seat on the top-spec ZXi (O) variant gets a healthy range for adjusting reach as well as height. Coupled with the rake adjustable steering, and we could get into comfortable driving position relatively easily. There’s adequate support for short trips, but we would have liked slightly more bolstering for the lower back and under thigh for the longer journeys. Also, the integrated headrests don’t support the neck , especially if you are a tall person. The view from the driver’s seat is nice since one tends to sit higher in the Celerio. However, the A-pillar is too thick, so, you will have to be careful while turning at junctions.

The steering wheel is borrowed from the Swift. It gets controls for the audio and calls, the buttons for which feel tactile. The wheel itself has a grainy texture, it isn’t wrapped in artificial leather like the Grand i10.The cluster is a three pod unit that houses a tachometer, a speedometer and a multi-function display that lets you toggle through data like average fuel economy, distance to empty and instantaneous average as well. The centre console houses an integrated music system (that supports USB, AUX and Bluetooth) in the top-trim, and flows into the manual aircon controls. Lower variants get a blank 2DIN slot to fit an aftermarket head unit. The air-con is typically Maruti, which means it is amongst the best units out there. The cabin gets cooled very quickly, and you wouldn’t have any complaints on that front.

The rear bench sits slightly higher than the front seats and is reclined backwards at a comfortable angle. The seats are rather thin, owing to which support and cushioning is average at best. The bench will accommodate two people in relative comfort. However, a third passenger at the rear will be a tight squeeze. Unlike the Grand i10, the Celerio misses out on rear AC vents, but it isn’t a deal breaker in any way.Maruti has managed to wriggle out a significant amount of space on the inside for a car that has such compact dimensions. The interior has no ground-breaking features or anything drastically different than the standard Maruti fare. However, it ticks just the right boxes to be a practical city hatchback.

Maruti Celerio Performance

The Maruti Celerio uses the same engine which powered the cars it replaces. It is the same motor which propels the Wagon R but sees some changes. The 1.0-litre K10B motor (now called K-Next) gets drive-by-wire technology (instead of a mechanical linkage), reduced friction (thanks to redesigned valve springs), high pressure injectors and low viscosity engine oil. The changes aren’t a world apart but do end up improving the performance from the car which now produces the same 68 PS of power at 200 RPM earlier. Being a 3-cylinder unit, the Celerio’s engine has its achilles heel, the NVH is very poor which is amplified by the low weight of the car, resulting in everything from the gear lever to the pedals and seats vibrating at idle (noise isn’t much though but vibes are very intrusive). What the low weight does help in is, it gives the Maruti Celerio slick performance in the city, you do however have to keep the pedal depressed at low speeds to prevent stalling in crawling traffic, specifically in first gear.

The 3-pot unit is quick to respond to throttle inputs at low speeds and moves swiftly in stop and go conditions. However like most Suzuki petrol powertrains, rev the nuts of the motor and it makes an unpleasing whine, the Celerio goes one step ahead and sounds massively coarse near the 6100 RPM redline. The car debuts an improved 5-speed gearbox which although has slick shifts, can be a bit of an effort to use till you get used to the slight stiffness. The 1.2-litre K12 engine in the Ritz and Swift would have made a world of a difference to the Celerio but Maruti Suzuki is focussed on mileage, which the smaller petrol mill will deliver in abundance. Our VBOX runs with both manual and automatic versions of the Maruti Celerio revealed the 0-100 km/hr time to be 15.05 and 15.60 seconds respectively, which is decently quick for a car with such a pint sized motor.

The A-Star was offered with an automatic but Maruti Suzuki has opted for a cost effective solution with the Celerio, which uses an automated manual transmission, technology sourced from Magneti Marelli. This transmission is shared with the manual and doesn’t have a torque converter (thereby returns the same mileage as a manual), instead it uses an ECU to control gear shifts (using actuators), eliminating the need of a physical clutch. There is a creep mode which prevents clutch wear in slow moving conditions while a hold function prevents roll back on slopes. You have the option of leaving the box in auto mode while there is a manual mode as well (slot the lever to the left) wherein you can keep the gear engaged till redline to extract the most out of this mill. The EZ Drive does make driving very convenient but is very jerky and you can feel the clutch being activated most of the time. Since this is an automated manual gearbox, there is no P mode like in traditional automatics (there is M, D, N and R modes). The company claims a fuel efficiency of 23.1 km/l which is quite impressive.

Maruti Celerio Rideing

The Maruti Celerio offers a good mix of space and comfort and it is exactly like its petrol sibling. The ride is pliant and the suspension feels well balanced. It is not too stiff nor soft. The steering too is well weighted and not overly assisted like some other cars in the segment and this feels good. The clutch too feels pretty light, especially for a diesel. While the engine sound intrudes inside the cabin, it gets easily muffled with the audio system on. Overall, the driving dynamics in the Maruti Celerio are better than just acceptable. View offers on Maruti Cars from Maruti dealers in Hyderabad at Autozhop

Maruti Celerio Safety

Recently, Maruti has offered optional ABS and Airbags across all trims, which is appreciable. This is on par with what the segment offers. In the EURO NCAP tests, the top end version of Celerio scored 3 stars out of 5.The Celerio has the same features for the petrol and diesel versions. The list includes power steering, all four power windows, n dash music system, bluetooth and USB connectivity. The other features are ABS and airbag.

Maruti Celerio Price

Maruti Suzuki Celerio Ex-Showroom Price in India ranges from 4,23,623/- (Celerio LXI) to 5,42,220/- (Celerio ZXI AMT Optional). Get best offers for Maruti Suzuki Celerio from Maruti Suzuki Dealers in India

Maruti Celerio Verdict

The Maruti Celerio is an improved product, compared to the A-Star whose direct replacement it is. However it isn’t a vastly improved product which makes you question why the manufacturer did not go the long haul in taking a car which bombed so miserly, to the next level. The regular manual version of the Celerio doesn’t appeal much with the EZ Drive model being the only saving grace here. By using the intelligent and cost effective option, Maruti Suzuki will offer the cheapest automatic car in India in the Celerio. Although very jerky, the ease of driving offered by the Auto Gear Shift in the Celerio is sure to appeal to those on a budget. Being a Maruti Suzuki with a vast dealership network and aggressive pricing (for the lower trims), the Celerio is bound to be a success. However if you want a manual hatchback at this price point, there are better options.

What Are The Steps In The Evaluation Of Health Education Activities

Check for Educational Evaluations in US at UT Evaluators

In this section, you will learn the steps that you can follow to evaluate your health education activities. Evaluation is not conducted in a haphazardly way, and there are six steps that are usually taken when conducting an evaluation of health education activities. In developing the evaluation steps, you will be able to put the methods we have discussed into the broader context of your local situation and the work you do. It shows the six steps usually involved in the evaluation of health education activities. You should note that evaluation, similar to planning health education activities, is a continuous process. Based on the feedback gained from evaluation, you will develop another plan, and so the process continues.

These six steps are interdependent, and the earlier steps provide the foundation for subsequent progress. Thus, you could not jump to Step 2 without having undergone Step 1, and so on. In the following section, you will be able to learn about each of these steps in more detail.

Step 1: Involve people to participate in the activities

You should begin the evaluation cycle by engaging people who have been taking part in your health education activities. For example, it will be useful to meet with community members, key informants, NGOs in the locality, and others who have participated in the activities. If you fail to involve them, your evaluation might not address certain important aspects. If you do the evaluation by yourself and later tell them the findings, they may not take any notice of the findings because the evaluation has not addressed their interests. For Educational Evaluations in US visit here

NGOs are non-governmental organisations.

Step 2: Describe the activities to be evaluated

In order to carry out an evaluation, you need to describe the activities being evaluated in detail. This enables you to determine the objectives, activities, methods and materials—as well as the content of the messages used in the activities being evaluated. In doing so, you will be able to focus on what you have planned and what you have achieved. For example, if you want to evaluate the family planning health education activities that you have undertaken through home visits, you need to describe in detail how you have been conducting those health education activities in people’s homes.

Step 3: Select methods

In this step, you will need to select appropriate evaluation methods to use. You could select observation, or interviews, or use other methods, depending on what you want to evaluate. Moreover, you need to decide who you want to interview, and when to interview them. Prepare all the necessary resources needed to conduct the evaluation.

Step 4: Collect credible data

The data that is collected in order to conduct an evaluation is the most important step. You can use multiple data collection methods, such as observation, interviewing and discussion, at the same time. For instance, you may go to a family and observe whether their health-related practices have changed in any way. At the same visit you can also interview the mother or head of the household to know more in detail about their health practices. The method you use should be appropriate and sufficient to give you the information you need to know. For example, if you want to know how well households are using mosquito nets, direct observation might be more reliable than asking someone else.

Step 5: Analyse the data

Once you have collected all the relevant data from various sources, the next step is to analyse and interpret the data. Analysis involves presenting the information you have collected in such a way that it gives meaning. For example, you can convert the raw data to percentages and numbers that will be relevant to people who need to know about the outcomes of the evaluation. For example, the number of pregnant women who attend antenatal care sessions, and the percentage of women who use family planning, are results of evaluation that might be of interest to the participants and other agencies.

Step 6: Learn from evaluation

The last step of evaluation deals with judging your achievements. In this step, you look at the extent to which you have achieved your objectives, particularly behavioural and learning objectives. If the achievement is encouraging and you appear to have done the right thing, then it demonstrates that the methods, materials and the messages you have used have probably worked. So you can learn from this evaluation, and should be able to replicate these approaches in your future health education activities.

On the other hand the evaluation findings may tell you that you have not done so well. This could mean that you have achieved only a portion of your behavioural and learning objectives. The evaluation findings should not only tell you the extent to which you have achieved your objectives, but also the possible reasons for your failure. These weaknesses should not be repeated. This is one of the basic purposes of conducting evaluation.

What’s The Difference Between A Social Media Strategy And A Social Media Plan

cmap.org.in

A social media strategy is the foundation that your social media plan refers back to for guidance.A social media strategy draws a big-picture blueprint of the approach you’ll take to succeed with your social media efforts. It’s rooted in research and goal-setting. Think of it as a long-term resource guide that isn’t meant to be changed or adjusted. You’ll refer back to it often.A social media plan puts your strategy into action. It’s a detailed report (like a giant “to do” list) that you’ll follow as you launch and nurture your social platforms. Unlike a strategy, your plan will change and grow as you test, measure, and adjust along the way.

Let’s get started creating your social media strategy.

1. Decide How to Measure Results

When and how will you test the effectiveness of your social media efforts?

Keep in mind that social media isn’t just fun and games. You’ve set specific goals and will want to keep a close eye on the results so you can test and adjust your plan along the way. Many of the post scheduling software also includes analytics and insights so you can measure the success of your social media channels. If you’re not sure how to use social media analytics, spend an afternoon learning how to measure your social media success. 3. Create a Content Outline

Decide what type of media you’ll share and how you will publish it.

What type of content will you share?

Here are some questions to ask yourself as you make this decision:

A. How can you help your customers? What type of content can you publish that’s helpful to your audience and relative to your business?

B. How can you entertain or hold the interest of your audience? Do they love videos, devour long articles, crave new data, or jump at the chance to voice their opinion?

C. What types of media (videos, articles, stunning images, polls, etc.) will you use?

Keep your goals and customer insights in mind as you map your content plan.

Check your content for relevancy every step of the way. Publishing random content just to get attention isn’t going to improve your sales or SEO. Be sure your content supports your product or service in some way.

4. Choose Your Social Media Platforms

Which social media platform or platforms will you focus your efforts on?

Now that you’ve identified your goals and conducted competitor research, you’re ready to decide which social media platforms will be a smart choice for your business. Try to pick one as a priority to start. You can grow into more over time.

5. Research Your Audience and Competitors

B. What’s the personality of their audience? Do they prefer inspirational quotes or images over informative articles? Do they like to answer questions that let C. them voice opinions?

When your research is complete, ask yourself 2 questions:

A. What are some of the strategies and tactics your competitors are using that might help you achieve the goals you set in step 1?

The actual structure of a site, is strongly related with the type of content a website offers. If we are to divide website types into groups, we will end up with four major groups:

. Blogs

. Corporate Websites

. News Websites

. eCommerce Websites (Selling either products or services online)

Ideal site structure of a blog

Besides the home page and the other pages like about us, contact us etc., blog posts should be grouped into categories according to relevancy. For example, if you have a food blog publishing different kinds of recipes, you can create several categories based on the type of recipes i.e. Italian recipes, vegetarian recipes, Chinese recipes etc. Digital Marketing Services in Hyderabad visit Vivid Digital

Ideal site structure of a small business / corporate website

The main purpose of a small business / corporate website is to provide more information about the business, it’s products, services and departments.Notice that you have a main category for departments and a main category for the blog with several sub-categories.

Ideal site structure of a news website

A news website such as an online magazine can group content into a number of categories based on the type of content and when it was published. This structure can help both search engines and users find what they want either by visiting the category of interest or navigating through the content by date.

Ideal site structure for an ecommerce website

The site structure of an ecommerce website can be a bit more complicated than other types of websites especially when it offers a number of different products. On top of the structure we have the homepage and then the content grouped into several categories. There is no limitation as to the number of categories or subcategories you can create but a rule of thumb is not to create more than 3 levels of depth in your hierarchy. In other words, each product should be accessed from the homepage in less than 3 clicks. This makes indexing faster and easier to understand by crawlers and it’s also friendlier for users.

How to Optimize your Site Structure

Now that you have an idea of what is the ideal structure of a website, let’s examine how you can practically build a good structure for your website. Here are the steps:

. Plan your site structure in advance

. Use categories to group related content

. SEO Optimize your categories

. Use HTML and CSS for navigation

. Make use of breadcrumb menus

. Create an SEO Friendly permalink structure

. Pay attention to your internal link structure

. Create a sitemap for users

Plan your site structure in advance

For new websites

If you are starting a new website then it’s easy to plan the site structure in advance. From experience, this step is overlooked by many web designers and webmasters. They tend to concentrate on the visual aspect of a website without taking into account the structure. The best way to approach this is to use the above ‘ideal structures’ as your guides and adjust them according to your needs. What you need to have in mind is the following:

Your website should have a hierarchical structure –

The focal point is the homepage and then all other pages should be grouped into categories based on their type. For example, blog posts should be grouped into blog categories and placed under the ‘Blog’. News articles can be grouped by published date. If you are offering services, these can be grouped under services. For SEO Agency Check here

Try to think what the best grouping from a user’s perspective is. Run some scenarios and try to replicate the steps taken by users to find a product or article on your website. If you can make this process easy enough for them, then it will be for search engines too.

Your hierarchy should be no more than 2 or 3 levels deep –

Don’t overcomplicate your site hierarchy but keep it simple. All pages of your website have to accessible from the homepage in less than 3 clicks. For example, if you are running an online shop then a user should be able to visit a specific product page in less than 3 clicks. This translates to:

. Homepage (1 Click)

. Product Category (2 clicks)

. Product Subcategory (3 clicks)

. Product page
