What Is The Ideal Site Structure For SEO & How to Optimize your Site Structure For SEO ?

Before we go into the details on how you can optimize your site structure, let’s first understand what we want to achieve. What is the ideal site structure of a website?

The actual structure of a site, is strongly related with the type of content a website offers. If we are to divide website types into groups, we will end up with four major groups:

. Blogs

. Corporate Websites

. News Websites

. eCommerce Websites (Selling either products or services online)

Ideal site structure of a blog

Besides the home page and the other pages like about us, contact us etc., blog posts should be grouped into categories according to relevancy. For example, if you have a food blog publishing different kinds of recipes, you can create several categories based on the type of recipes i.e. Italian recipes, vegetarian recipes, Chinese recipes etc. Digital Marketing Services in Hyderabad visit Vivid Digital

Ideal site structure of a small business / corporate website

The main purpose of a small business / corporate website is to provide more information about the business, it’s products, services and departments.Notice that you have a main category for departments and a main category for the blog with several sub-categories.

Ideal site structure of a news website

A news website such as an online magazine can group content into a number of categories based on the type of content and when it was published. This structure can help both search engines and users find what they want either by visiting the category of interest or navigating through the content by date.

Ideal site structure for an ecommerce website

The site structure of an ecommerce website can be a bit more complicated than other types of websites especially when it offers a number of different products. On top of the structure we have the homepage and then the content grouped into several categories. There is no limitation as to the number of categories or subcategories you can create but a rule of thumb is not to create more than 3 levels of depth in your hierarchy. In other words, each product should be accessed from the homepage in less than 3 clicks. This makes indexing faster and easier to understand by crawlers and it’s also friendlier for users.

How to Optimize your Site Structure

Now that you have an idea of what is the ideal structure of a website, let’s examine how you can practically build a good structure for your website. Here are the steps:

. Plan your site structure in advance

. Use categories to group related content

. SEO Optimize your categories

. Use HTML and CSS for navigation

. Make use of breadcrumb menus

. Create an SEO Friendly permalink structure

. Pay attention to your internal link structure

. Create a sitemap for users

Plan your site structure in advance

For new websites

If you are starting a new website then it’s easy to plan the site structure in advance. From experience, this step is overlooked by many web designers and webmasters. They tend to concentrate on the visual aspect of a website without taking into account the structure. The best way to approach this is to use the above ‘ideal structures’ as your guides and adjust them according to your needs. What you need to have in mind is the following:

Your website should have a hierarchical structure –

The focal point is the homepage and then all other pages should be grouped into categories based on their type. For example, blog posts should be grouped into blog categories and placed under the ‘Blog’. News articles can be grouped by published date. If you are offering services, these can be grouped under services. For SEO Agency Check here

Try to think what the best grouping from a user’s perspective is. Run some scenarios and try to replicate the steps taken by users to find a product or article on your website. If you can make this process easy enough for them, then it will be for search engines too.

Your hierarchy should be no more than 2 or 3 levels deep –

Don’t overcomplicate your site hierarchy but keep it simple. All pages of your website have to accessible from the homepage in less than 3 clicks. For example, if you are running an online shop then a user should be able to visit a specific product page in less than 3 clicks. This translates to:

. Homepage (1 Click)

. Product Category (2 clicks)

. Product Subcategory (3 clicks)

. Product page

For Existing websites

If you already have a website that it’s indexed by Google and has some rankings, then don’t start changing you site structure as this may have a negative impact on your rankings. There is a procedure to follow. Keep reading and we will get to this below.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Engine & First Drive

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Overview

If there’s anything automotive history has to prove to us, it’s that it is really difficult for manufacturers to successfully cater to all the spheres of the market. Even for someone as big a giant as Maruti Suzuki, who has been at the top of the small car hill, things have gone haywire and there have been a couple of failed attempts to replicate their success stories in the highly lucrative crossover segment (Read: S-Cross and Grand Vitara). Not wanting to be left behind in what is now a genuine volume game; Maruti Suzuki have lengthened their strides to catch up to their global rivals and come up with the new Vitara Brezza – Maruti’s maiden product to be designed and developed entirely in India. Shown first at the Auto Expo last month, the VitaraBrezza is now on sale and neatly bridges the gap between Maruti’s existing hatchbacks and a couple of sedans. However, will it be able to make up for the S-Cross’ poor show in the crossover space and make a name for itself when put up against some pretty fierce competition?Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza price range in India is between 7,54,961/- to 9,94,503/, check for detail pricing of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in Carzprice

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Design

The styling of the Maruti Vitara Brezza is quite straightforward and simple, which means typical Suzuki design language. The front grille gets a thick chrome slat connecting the two projector headlamps that integrate daytime running lights on the edges. The bumper looks sporty having honeycomb grille, faux silver skid plate and having fog lamps and blinkers placed in a neat housing. The bonnet hood is straight and flat which gives a typical SUV look along with the big wheel arches.

The dual tone colour variants really add to the visual appeal of the Vitara Brezza. Our test car had a white and blue combo that looks quite bright and fresh. The lower half of the side profile gets rugged cladding and sporty looking twin five spoke alloys. A strong crease runs across the length of the Brezza connecting the headlamps to the tail lamps. The rear profile looks well done because of the perfectly styled horizontal tail lamps, dual tone bumper with black cladding and faux skid plate. The overall silhouette of the Maruti Vitara Brezza is like an SUV and not like that of a crossover.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Cabin

On the insides too, the Vitara Brezza has got a boxy treatment with the squared off dashboard, which gets complemented with the detailing and lines on the door panels and center console. matching with the exterior color. While most of the bits like steering wheel, power window switches and the large 7-inch touchscreen are something which we have already seen on the S-Cross, the center console has a different looking rounded rectangle design, which ends up with the Auto AC controls and cup holders. The left portion of the dashboard gets two glove boxes, with the lower of the two being a cooled box.

Where the Vitara Brezza excels is the clever space management it offers. Despite being a sub four meter car, the Vitara Brezza doesn’t feel short on space, and has more than required leg room, head room and boot space of 328 liters, making it quite a spacious car. The rear seats have got the provision of 60:40 split pattern, which can be helpful in extending the boot space, while carrying additional luggage. In terms of features, the Vitara Brezza gets almost everything which we have been seeing in a car of this segment, like projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, alloy wheels, push button start, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, 7-inch touchscreen music system which gets reverse camera, navigation, voice command system and Apple Carplay, automatic climate control, cruise control, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, steering wheel with audio, bluetooth and cruise control buttons, cooled glove box, tilt adjustable steering, electrically adjustable, front center sliding armrest and foldable rear view mirrors and height adjustable driver’s seat.

All in all, the Vitara Brezza does look boxy and not as outstanding or European as its rivals like Ford Ecosport and Hyundai Creta, but then, the features and detailing on the car make it look modern and upmarket.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Engine

Maruti Vitara Brezza engine line-up as mentioned in the beginning is confined to a single diesel mill. Maruti has used the regular Fiat sourced 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine powering most of the diesel models like Maruti like Ertiga, Ciaz etc The diesel engine is tuned to deliver 89bhp of top power along with 200Nm of torque. A five-speed conventional manual transmission is mated to the diesel motor while an AMT may be introduced later

Maruti Vitara Brezza range comprises of six variants namely LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O) and ZDi (O). The base variants comes with electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, power steering, power windows in front, folding rear seat, manual AC and tilt steering. As we go up in the model series, the V variant gets additional features such as rear parking sensors, floating roof treatment, keyless entry, full wheel covers, power windows in front and rear, gear shift indicator and electromagnetic tailgate.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Driving

To compensate for the tall height and the heavy diesel engine up front, the Brezza gets a stiff suspension setup. This becomes very apparent when you attack the corners, as the compact SUV manages to keep body roll controlled. The downside to this, is a lot of thudding and crashing over potholes – which can get quite taxing on a day to day basis. Highway manners are confidence-inducing as well. The Brezza doesn’t float or feel bouncy as it goes about chugging miles.

The steering is well-weighted, and shouldn’t be a problem inside the city or on the highways. You can have a bit of fun with it around the twisties as well, the wheel does have adeqaute amount of feedback to offer. Yes, there’s a hint of understeer if you push it hard, but it quickly corrects itself the moment you lift off the throttle.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Safety

ABS, EBD and dual front airbags for driver and co-passenger are among the vital safety features aboard. While driver side airbag is standard across line-up, the co-passenger side airbag is offered only on the top-spec variant. Other features such as front seat belt pre-tensioners with load limiters, front fog lamps etc also also be available on the SUV. Along with the aforementioned features the Z trims will come with projector head lamps in front, automatic AC, LED daytime running lights, piano finish for centre console, 16 inch alloy wheels, 60:40 split rear seat, steering mounted controls for audio, height adjuster for driver, rear wiper with washer, rear centre arm rest, fog lamps in front and faux skid plates on bumpers. And the range topping ZDi+ variant comes with few extras such as cooled glove box, automatic head lamp, rain sensing wiper, electrically folding wing mirrors, arm rest in front, navigation and reverse parking camera display, push button start and cruise control. View offers on Maruti Cars from Maruti dealers in Hyderabad at Autozhop

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Verdict

There is no denying the fact that the Vitara Brezza is a sure shot winner for Maruti Suzuki with a real possibility of it becoming its bread and butter product in the next few years. It has exciting and yet understated looks, a good interior that comes packed with gadgets and a good mechanical package. Negatives of course include the plastic quality which really needs to be improved and the fact that the NVH levels are just a tad bit too high for our liking. Although we were a bit skeptical about the Vitara Brezza, the car certainly has not disappointed in any form or measure and is certainly something we would strongly advice our readers to buy if you are looking for a new car around the Rs 10 lakh range. All said and done, you have to wonder, does that mid-size sedan or premium hatchback really make any sense anymore?

The Basics Of On-Page SEO To Help Search Engines

To step in the process is to optimize your pages and content. Your goal at this stage is to help search engines understand the context of your content and for which keywords you want to rank for.

The on-page SEO process can be broken down into two parts:

  • Optimizing page properties like the page title, page headings etc.
  • Content optimization

On-Page SEO Optimization

As the name implies, on-page SEO has to do with settings / rules that are applicable on a page level.

The most important on-page SEO factors are:

Page title

Each and every page of your website needs to have a unique title. The title of the page was a very important SEO factor since the beginning of Google, and it is important today. The page title is what users see in the search results and the first element that crawlers read.A good title should be interesting for the users to click, descriptive of the page content and to have keywords that users (and search engines) can recognize. For Digital Marketing Services Check Vivid Digital

Page Description (Meta Description) –

The meta description is not visible to users but may be shown in the search results if it’s chosen by Google. The meta description of the page is a short summary of the page and unlike the meta-keywords (mentioned above), they are taken into account by search engines.

Main heading (H1) –

Besides the page title, another important on-page SEO element is the main page heading. In the HTML language, this is the <h1> tag of a page. Good SEO practices dictate that a page should only have one h1 tag.Sub headings (H2, h3) – Besides the H1, a post or page needs to have multiple sections to make it easier to read by users. The use of headings should be done hierarchical. In other words, the main title is H1 and then subheadings can be H2 or H3. Look at this guide for example and see how I used the different headings to make this really long post easier to read.

Optimization of images, audio and video –

Not all content is text. A website can also publish videos, audio (podcasts) and images.Google cannot easily understand what an image is all about or what kind of content is presented in a video. To make their job easier, there are some SEO rules to follow to make your images and other multimedia elements SEO friendly.

For example, when adding an image to a page, you can make use of the ALT text to describe the image in words. Search engines when they find the image, they will read the ALT text and add it to the appropriate category in their index.

Content Optimization (Content SEO)

Content optimization is all about the content and this is stage where you should spend most of your attention. There is a saying in SEO, ‘Content is King’ and this is tightly related with the reason Google has become so successful.Google has a very simple mission “to provide users with high quality results so that they can come back for more searches”.This means that if your content is not king, you will not survive from the quality checks made by the Google algorithms during the ranking process.

Even though your content is not going to be read by humans but by computer bots, their process is so advanced that they can easily identify good content from low quality content. To do this they use a number of signals including how users interact with the search results but I won’t go into the details here since it can become really confusing for beginners. What you need to understand at this stage is that the quality of your content is the most important ranking factor of all.A website with great content can do well in search with or without SEO. SEO Agency in Hyderabad visit here

What do we mean by quality content?

High quality content has the following characteristics:

  • It is unique for the particular web site and has not be published online before.
  • It’s thorough and explains a topic in detail. Take the guide you are reading now as an example. It’s 9000+ words long and covers SEO basics from start to finish.
  • It is well formatted and not just words thrown on a page.
  • It’s unbiased and tells both sides of a story
  • It’s authoritative based on experience, research studies and data.
  • It’s SEO friendly.

Tata Nexon Performance & First Drive

Tata Nexon Overview

Given With the rise in demand for cars with an automatic transmission, it was only a matter ofjust about time before  that an automatic transmission found its way into the Tata Nexon. Especially after it was showcased by Tata Motors at the 2018 Auto Expo. More than 28,000 Nexon shave hit the road since its launch, and it is one of the most sought-after and competitive crossovers in its segment. Furthermore, since the Nexon’s sales break-up between petrol and diesel mills is exactly 50 per cent, they’ve decided to offer the AMT gearbox on both engine options. While enthusiasts wait for this iteration to show up in showrooms, we got a chance to drive the Nexon AMT from Pune to Panchgani, and back. Here’s what you need to know. Tata Nexon price range in India is between 5,94,633/-  to 9,54,695/ check for detail pricing of Tata Nexon in Carzprice

Tata Nexon Design

To begin with let us first inform you that the Nexon is based on the XO platform which is the same platform that also underpins almost all of their new generation compact cars including the Bolt, Zest and even the Tiago and Tigor.Take a look at the production variant of the Nexon, and you will instantly mistake it with the concept car which was showcased almost three years back at the 2014 Auto Expo with some practical additions. This compact SUV stands apart from the crowd because of certain factors which include its modern looking face, a sloping roofline like silhouette, big extended X like design towards the rear which has been finished in Ivory white ceramic type element that we can also find towards the side profile and also under the front fog lamps. The big 16-inch chunky alloy wheels, high ground clearance of 200 mm, projector headlamps and LED taillamps are some other highlights which make the SUV looks quite modern and well equipped and practical at the same time.

The premium looking front grille has been finished in Piano black and has the Tata logo at the centre while a chrome slat sits on the base of the grille and extends all the way towards the side headlamps edges (Tata Motors calls it a humanity line). The Nexon also gets LED DRL’s positioned below the projector headlamps units. Towards the lower front face, the round fog lamps placed slightly higher to perhaps highlighting the high ground clearance.Towards the side profile is where you will witness all the crease lines and bulges. The muscular wheel arches and the big 16 inch wheels along with black plastic claddings further add to its muscular stance. Just below the window line is where you will also find the Ivory white strip which you will also notice towards the front and rear profile of the SUV. One of the other highlights of the side profile of the SUV is its coupe like sloping roofline which is further accentuated by the Contrasting roof colour.Towards the rear profile the Nexon gets an X shaped element which is positioned just below the rear windscreen. The floating roof spoiler towards the rear also features a LED stop lamps.

Tata Nexon Cabin

The dashboard of the Tata Nexon is designed keeping practicality and ease-of-use in mind. The steering wheel feels good to hold and comes with controls for audio and phone. The centre console gets a floating 6.5-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You get other features like climate control, 8-speakers for the Harman Sound System, voice commands, 2 airbags and rear AC vents. A lot of parts on the inside have been borrowed from other Tata cars. The Nexon also gets a wearable key which can be useful when you go for jogs.

The AC is excellent and even at blower speed 1, the throw of the air is extremely good. The doors open wide and the seats are set at a height, allowing easy ingress and egress. The front seats feel comfortable with good support for the lower back and under thigh. At the rear, it might get a bit difficult to fit 3 people, but nonetheless, both knee room and head space are very good. The front windows are large but the rear windows are set high up and there is no quarter panel, thus making short passengers feel claustrophobic. The cabin is also very practical with a number of storage spaces, including one in the centre console that has been inspired by premium cars. The boot is well-shaped and you can fold the rear seats flat to get a cargo capacity of 690-litres. Quality on the inside is good for most part but certain areas feel a bit cheap.

Tata Nexon Engine

Tata is offering all-new petrol and diesel engines in the Nexon. Both can be upgraded to BS-VI norms as and when the mandate comes in. While the basic architecture of the 1.2-litre indirect injection turbo-petrol engine is the same as the Tiago’s 3-cylinder motor, Tata says that they have used all the know-how from the Zest’s turbopetrol unit and incorporated it here. So while the block remains the same, the engine is lighter than the Zest’s turbocharged unit and also makes 110PS of power and 170Nm of torque. These figures in the compact SUV segment are lower than that of only the EcoSport’s 125PS turbo-petrol engine. The diesel, in the meanwhile, is a 1.5-litre unit that makes the same amount of power as the petrol but a significantly higher 260Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to 6-speed manual transmissions, with AMTs to be slotted in at a later date. Tata also offers the aforementioned Drive modes in both the variants. The Drive modes can be accessed via the rotary knob and can be changed on the move. The good part about this dial is that whatever mode you’ve selected, there will be an audio note telling you the selection and the colour of the infotainment system too changes a la Mini Cooper style. The dial also remembers the last selection made and sticks to it even after the car has been switched off.

We had a go at the turbopetrol engine first. At start-up, the engine has decent refinement; however, on the move, it is audible. There is some amount of turbolag and the motor isn’t that happy sitting at high revs. What it is happy doing is cruising. At around 1,600rpm, the engine is doing 100 clicks in top gear. Good for those efficiency numbers then. It is also tractable and even at a higher gear and low revs, the engine is happy. For example – 40kmph in fourth gear is possible and the engine doesn’t really protest. But if you want quick acceleration, you need to drop a couple of gears before making any progress. The hairpins up Idukki dam were taken in second gear; however, the moment brisk acceleration was called for uphill, I had to downshift. Rowing through the gears though is pretty much fun as the gearbox is slick. Vibrations are present though and manifest through the pedals and gear lever. However, they aren’t at an alarming level. The diesel, in the meanwhile, sounds as refined as the Brezza’s unit. It, however, is the punchier of the two motors. The clutch is light and has a short travel while the gearshift too is smooth. Surprisingly, the diesel is a bit more eager to rev than the petrol. Tractability remains common for both with the exception that hurried progress doesn’t really require dropping a gear in the diesel. This will be the engine to watch out amongst the two. It has less turbolag and gets the job done in a better fashion. The Drive modes do alter the engine mapping and throttle setting, but over the years Tata Motors has refined it. The Sport mode no longer feels snappy. Instead it is quite linear. Around 70 per cent of our first drive review was done in this mode. City is the apt one for err…in the city while Eco dulls out the throttle response and requires a bit more of patience when hurried progress is to be made.

Tata Nexon Driving

Where the Nexon scores top marks, however, is in the ride and handling department. Ride quality isn’t pillow-soft and you do feel some of the larger bumps, but the suspension rounds off sharp edges brilliantly. The little bit of stiffness in the suspension also means there is not much pitching or bobbing and body roll is well contained despite the Nexon’s height. There is a bit more up-down movement in the lighter petrol car, but on the whole ride quality is really impressive. The steering, borrowed from the Zest, is spot-on and one of the best electrically assisted units we’ve experienced in this class of car. It has a reassuring on-centre feel and weights up perfectly as you pile on the lock. All of this translates to brilliant overall stability, and with a best-in-class 209mm of ground clearance, and lots of wheel travel you really don’t need to slow down for potholes. The stiff chassis, impressive brakes and generous grip from the fat 215/60 R16 tyres give a lot of confidence through corners. It doesn’t feel as keen to drive as an EcoSport and isn’t as surefooted either, but work up a rhythm, keep the engines in their sweet spot and you’ll be nicely rewarded.

Tata Nexon Safety

Tata Nexon comes packed with a plethora of safety features such as dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Immobilizer and Seatbelt with pretensioners and load limiters as standard. The high-end variants also boast of Park Assist with Camera, Front fog lamps with cornering assistance, rear fog lamps and speed dependent auto door locks features. View offers on Tata Cars from Tata dealers in Hyderabad at Autozhop

Well! The Nexon is the new generation product from Tata Motors which is quite refined and gets quality materials and plenty of new and exclusive features both inside and outside. It looks good and will attract everyone’s attention on the road. Rumors are that Tata Motors will price this new SUV quite aggressively as well. The Nexon gets both diesel and petrol engines under its hood which gives it an edge over its rival Vitara Brezza along with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Lastly for those who want a well built and premium quality interior with plenty of modern features and practicality can always opt for the Nexon

Very Good News For H1B Visa Holders!

Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi has introduced a legislation in the House of Representatives which gives flexibility to H-1B workers to switch jobs and reduces the Green Card backlog by expanding education-based exemptions from per-country caps for H-1B holders.

Krishnamoorthi was joined by Republican lawmaker Mike Coffman in introducing H R 6794, the ‘Immigration Innovation Act of 2018′ in the House of Representatives Thursday. If passed by the Congress and signed into law by the President, the two lawmakers said it would reform and streamline the H-1B high-skilled worker visa programme while increasing investment in American Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education for students in K-12, post-secondary, or college programmes. For H1B Visa Process Visit UT Evaluators

“To develop the skills of our domestic workforce, our bill increases investments in our education system to guarantee that American workers are trained for high-tech jobs. It also reforms the visa system for highly-skilled workers which allows American businesses to compete in the global economy,” said Krishnamoorthi, a Democrat Congressman.

“Our immigration policies must fit with the economic needs of our country,” Coffman said. “One critical part of Congress’ job is ensuring that immigration laws match our country’s high-tech workforce requirements as well as meet the needs of H1-B visa applicants and their families.” The legislation also proposes to ban employers from hiring H-1B holders to replace American workers while increasing funding for STEM education at the K-12, post-secondary, and university levels.

Under the bill, fees collected for H-1B visas and conditional Green Cards will go to state-administered funds to promote domestic STEM education and worker training, including financial aid and research initiatives. These expanded investments in advanced training for the domestic workforce would ultimately reduce demand for foreign workers while helping the American economy grow, the two lawmakers said. The bill among other things removes existing annual exemption cap on H-1B visas for holders of US master’s degrees or higher, which is currently exempting 20,000 per year, for individuals who are sponsored for a Green Card; narrows education-based cap exemption to those with US PhDs.

It creates lottery prioritisation for cap-subject petitions in the order of: US masters or higher, foreign PhDs, and US STEM bachelor’s degrees and establishes a grace period to allow H-1B visa holders to change jobs without losing their legal status to permit mobility under qualifying circumstances. The bill subjects employers who have more than five H-1B employees to a penalty for each employee who worked less than 25 per cent of the first work-authorisation year and prohibits employers from hiring an H-1B visa worker to replace a US worker. It also provides work authorisation for spouses and dependent children of H-1B visa workers at the prevailing wage. H1B Visa Evaluation Check here

It proposes to eliminate per-country limit for employment based green cards and adjusts per-country caps for family-based green cards; and enables reassignment of unused visas from previous years. The bill exempts spouses and children of employment-based green card holders, holders of US STEM master’s degrees or higher, and individuals with extraordinary skill in arts and sciences from caps.

It creates new conditional Green Card category to allow US employers to sponsor university-educated foreign professionals through a separate path from H–1B. It also requires employers to attest that no US worker has been displaced for the Green Card holder, undertake recruitment efforts to fill the position with a US worker and offer prevailing wage not less than USD 100,000 per year.Referred to the House Judiciary Committee, the bill enables F-1 student visa holds to seek permanent resident status while a student or during Optional Practical Training. The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise.

Commenting over the recent reports of the United States considering changing H1B visa rules, CUTS international stated that the new proposal is not going to do any good to anyone.According to reports, if a proposal by the Trump administration of not extending the H1B visa to Green Card applicants is implemented, then nearly half a million H1B Indian workers in the US may be on their way back home.Until now such workers were allowed to stay in the US till such time their green card application was under process even after their H1B had run its course. Reportedly, the proposal aims to make it illegal for such workers to stay in the US for the intervening time i.e. between the expiry of their H1B visa and issuance of the Green Card. For H1B Visa Process Visit UT Evaluators

CUTS international in a press statement discussed its argument. The organization said that it is essential to note that H1B visa is for skilled manpower and hence this may bring in unpredictability for the employers in the US.Even though the change in immigration regulations is still a proposed one, this may adversely affect existing and prospective H1B applications by forcing US employers to reconsider their employment policies for H1B holders. In the worst case scenario, it could also adversely affect the green card applications under the process. That said, there are challenges that even the Trump administration and US businesses could face. These may include pacifying such employers whose businesses will be adversely affected, for employers to find suitable replacements and for the administration to forgo the tax revenues coming in from potentially affected population, CUTS international said in a press statement.

In this week alone, there were other unpleasant news on this front. For instance, there are reports that the proposed US Bill on ‘Protecting American Jobs’ seeks to tighten the definition of visa-dependent companies, imposition of fresh restrictions on minimum salary and movement of talent. These developments could have the potential to vitiate the cordial India-US relations., the statement added. In the recent past, the issue of H1B visas was taken up by Commerce Minster Suresh Prabhu at US-India bilateral Trade Policy Forum (TPF) and separately by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his meeting with US Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross.India’s argument is that the issue related to H1B is essentially a trade and services issue, and not a matter relating to immigration. Further, H1B pertains to temporary movement of Indian professionals while US’s position seems to suggest that H1B programme was meant to fulfil the shortage of skilled manpower but over the years has become a back door route to obtain US residency. Be that as it may, this issue needs resolution at the highest level as there are no winners but only losers and colossal waste of resources. In other words, there is a mutuality of interests involved and this how this matter must be seen and resolved at bilateral level.CUTS International also known as Consumer Unity & Trust Society is a non-profit organisation headquartered in Jaipur. The organization addresses issues at regional and international levels through a network of 13 centres around the world.
